What personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

Who we are

Sifr Collection ("Sifr", "we", "us") is a carbon market information platform based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and part of the Aston Group. We are responsible for the personal data described here. Questions or requests about your data go to c.wylie@sifrcollection.com.

What we collect

  • Enquiry form: your name, work email, organisation (optional) and message, when you choose to send them.
  • Newsletter: your email address, when you subscribe to the Sifr Weekly Brief.
  • Email: anything you send us directly by email.
  • Visit statistics: anonymous, aggregated page-view statistics (pages viewed, referring site, country, device type). These do not use cookies and do not identify you.

We do not ask for payment details, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to arrange a briefing or terminal access.
  • To send the newsletter you subscribed to. Every issue lets you unsubscribe.
  • To understand which pages are useful, so we can improve the site.

We use enquiry data because you asked us to respond, newsletter data because you consented, and visit statistics because we have a legitimate interest in running a useful site. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of service providers, each only for the purpose stated:

  • Vercel hosts the website, processes form submissions and provides the anonymous visit statistics.
  • Resend delivers enquiry emails to us and manages the newsletter mailing list.
  • Our email provider stores the enquiries we receive.

To display the site, your browser also loads fonts from Google Fonts, map tiles from Esri, and mapping code from the unpkg content network. These requests share your IP address with those providers, as any web page does when it loads third-party resources. Some of these providers are outside the UAE; where data is transferred abroad, we rely on the providers' standard contractual safeguards.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: for as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up relationship, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact unless you become a client.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Visit statistics: aggregated only, with no personal identifiers.

Cookies

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and the visit statistics are cookie-free. Your browser may store small preferences locally (for example, interface settings), which never leave your device.

Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, and the GDPR if you are in the EU or UK, you can ask us to access, correct, delete or stop using your personal data, to withdraw consent, or to receive a copy of it. Email c.wylie@sifrcollection.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.

Sifr Collection provides carbon market data and intelligence for information purposes only. It is not a trading venue, exchange, broker, or financial adviser, and does not facilitate the purchase or sale of carbon credits.
