This tab previously showed soil organic carbon stocks, year-on-year change and satellite monitoring sources for five MENA regions. Those figures were removed on 8 July 2026 because they could not be traced to any measurement programme, registry or published dataset. Sifr does not have field measurements or an MRV pipeline, so it cannot report SOC stocks.
Soil organic carbon in arid land is real and it matters, but no public, verifiable MENA dataset exists at the resolution this table implied. We would rather show nothing than a number a buyer might act on. If you know of a citable source, tell us and we will publish it with the citation attached.
